Interactive brokers take action on actively traded symbols

GREENWICH, Conn. – (BUSINESS WIRE) – Interactive Brokers Group (Nasdaq: IBKR), a global brokerage company, announced today that it had started trading AMC, BB, EXPR, GME and KOSS yesterday at noon. Options added liquidation only due to the extraordinary volatility in the markets.

In addition, long equity positions require a margin of 100% and short positions require a margin of 300% until further notice. We don’t think this situation will subside until the exchanges and regulators stop or just put certain symbols into liquidation. We will continue to monitor market conditions and add or remove symbols as necessary.
